Chapter 161
“Woof, woof… Woof, woof…”
The excited barks of a large, furry dog echoed in the car, reminding Myra of the awkward situation she had just been part of. She suddenly realized that, amid their intimate moment, the dog had been present and watching them the entire time. She looked up, horrified to see the dog sitting there, completely unbothered, as if it had witnessed every embarrassing detail. Her face burned even more at the realization.
“Drive properly!” she demanded, slapping Tony’s chest. Unfortunately, his chest was like a wall of solid muscle, and her slap only resulted in a sharp pain in her palm.
Tony observed her angry, embarrassed expression with amusement, a small smirk playing on his lips. He caught her hand and kissed her fingers, never breaking eye contact. “Aren’t I about to start driving properly now?” he said, his tone laced with meaning.
Although Myra hadn’t noticed it, Tony had. The car windows were specially treated so that no one could peer inside, but from the inside, everything was clearly visible. As they had been caught in their moment, Tony had noticed the black Lamborghini stop abruptly nearby. He knew exactly who was in that car and had deliberately teased her, making her cry out in embarrassment.
“Tony Hart!” Myra’s voice was sharp, and she tried to pull her hand out of his grasp. Yet, her voice was strangely seductive, though she didn’t realize it.
Tony laughed deeply, low and teasing. He pulled her close, kissing the corner of her lips before answering, “Got it. I’ll drive properly.” He released her and carefully buckled her seatbelt before pushing the dog’s head out of the way and starting the car. The engine roared to life, and the car sped down the winding mountain road.
As they passed the Lamborghini, Tony deliberately slowed down, his expression turning serious. “How immoral,” he remarked in a deadpan tone. “Stopping their car by the side of the road at night… Are they afraid that people might not know what’s going on inside?”
Myra’s face burned even more from embarrassment. Was he seriously mocking them when he had done the same just moments ago? She refused to look at him, sure that he was wearing a smug expression. Instead, she turned her gaze to the window—and froze. That car… She couldn’t be wrong—it was Sean’s car.
This road led to both the Hart and Chase Residences, and though she recognized the car, she no longer felt anything. The sight of it, while familiar, didn’t stir the same emotions in her anymore. But then, a sudden sharp pain in her waist jolted her out of her thoughts. She turned to glare at Tony, only to find his narrowed eyes, filled with something dark and dangerous. “Are you upset?” he asked, his voice low and teasing.
She didn’t answer him, merely huffing in annoyance and turning away again.
Another wave of pain shot through her waist as Tony’s voice, now smooth and mocking, drifted to her ears. “Are you upset seeing that bastard with another woman?”
“Tony Hart!” Myra finally snapped, turning to face him. She grabbed his mischievous hand and bit down on it, her teeth sinking into his skin like a cat defending herself. “How childish can you get?! You’re the one who’s upset! Your whole family is upset!”
Tony’s hand had deep teeth marks, but instead of pulling away, he raised an eyebrow, his expression filled with intense emotion. The tension in the car was palpable as Myra realized she may have gone too far. She cautiously glanced at Tony, who was now driving in silence. The streetlights outside cast a dim glow, and his face, once teasing, had turned cold and distant.
