Chapter 22
“Bella Thompson… I feel like I’ve heard that name somewhere before.
” Justin rubbed his temples, murmuring to himself, as if trying to recall something important.
“I did an in-depth investigation about Ms. Thompson,” Ian reported, trying to salvage the situation.
Justin’s eyes lit up with anticipation, thinking, Finally! At least this secretary is one step ahead of me! “Tell me the result,” Justin demanded, eager to hear the outcome.
“I couldn’t find anything about her,” Ian replied with a defeated look, slumping his shoulders and spreading his hands in helplessness.
“Ian, I think you should head to the human resources department tomorrow to settle your salary,” Justin said, his voice chilling with coldness.
“Mr. Salvador, calm down! It’s not that I don’t want to investigate her,” Ian stammered, clearly scared.
“It’s just that Ms. Thompson’s information is like a top-secret file.
I really can’t do anything about it.
” Ian’s face turned pale with fright, and he wiped sweat from his brow with trembling hands.
“Don’t you think it’s strange? All I could find out about Ms. Thompson is that she’s the only daughter of Wyatt Thompson’s first wife.
But there’s no information about her anywhere.
I’ve also searched social media but found nothing.
Is she a legend?” “Do you have a photo of her? Show it to me,” Justin ordered, his patience wearing thin.
“Ah, yes! It took a lot of effort to find it,” Ian replied, quickly pulling out his phone.
He tapped the screen and then handed the phone to Justin.
Justin took a close look at the photo, and his anger flared.
“Ian Harris! Do you have a death wish?!” The photo on the screen was blurry, showing Wyatt holding a toddler.
It was almost impossible to make out any details.
“Mr. Salvador, calm down! This is the only photo I could find of Ms. Thompson on the entire internet.
It was taken 20 years ago, at the funeral of Wyatt Thompson’s first wife,” Ian said nervously, knowing that Justin’s temper could explode at any moment.
“Twenty years ago,” Justin muttered under his breath.
