Chapter 36
As soon as Justin finished speaking, a piercing scream echoed from the restaurant, and Ryan suddenly remembered his date was still left alone with Bella.
Trouble was bound to happen.
“Bro, I can’t talk now.
Anyway, I can’t make it today.
I’ll see you tomorrow!” Ryan was about to hang up when Justin’s sharp voice stopped him.
“Ryan Hoffman, where are you?”
At that moment, another scream came, even more piercing than the last.
“KS World Hotel’s restaurant!” Ryan answered quickly and rushed back to the restaurant.
When he opened the door, he froze in surprise at the sight in front of him.
Bella had his date pinned down, her hair gripped tightly as her head was pressed forcefully to the table.
The woman was completely immobilized.
Ryan’s first thought was, ‘Wow, this is like something out of a crime drama where the cool female detective arrests the criminal!’ He had initially feared Bella might be bullied, but now it seemed that wasn’t the case.
Smiling, he crossed his arms and leaned against the door, watching the scene unfold with amusement.
“I’m going to sue you! I’ll make it so that you can’t survive in Savrow!” Ryan’s date shouted, her face contorted as it was pressed into the table.
Bella’s voice was calm and unbothered.
“Then you should hurry to the hospital.
Otherwise, the slap mark on your face won’t even be visible.
You won’t be able to sue me for anything serious.”
Bella’s demeanor remained neutral.
She had only reacted after the woman had attempted to attack her.
Otherwise, she would have left her alone.
When the woman saw Ryan return, she immediately cried out for help.
“Mr. Hoffman! Mr. Hoffman, please help me!”
Ryan casually walked over, gently pulling Bella away from his date.
There was no anger in his tone—he spoke more like he was coaxing her.
He wasn’t surprised by the fight; in fact, he’d seen far worse disputes over him between four different women.
The reason he intervened was to avoid any unnecessary drama, especially since this involved Justin’s ex-wife.
If word spread, it could embarrass Justin.
“Mr. Hoffman! What do you mean it’s enough? This bitch hit me! She slapped me and pulled my hair! You have to seek justice for me!” The woman was livid, still clutching at her disheveled hair.
Bella, sitting back down in her chair, crossed her long legs and looked at the woman with a look of complete indifference, as if she were watching a circus act.
Ryan’s gaze shifted to Bella, taking in her graceful posture.
His eyes lingered for a moment, admiring her beauty, before landing on the Richard Mille watch on her wrist.
