Chapter 38
“Fuck! Justin, are you crazy?!” Ryan couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Bella’s face turned ashen, her already delicate arm hanging limply by her side, cold sweat beading on her forehead.
Ryan’s heart ached at the sight of her, while Justin, still in shock, was eerily silent.
“Ms. Brown, your arm is dislocated! I’ll take you to the hospital right away!” Ryan rushed forward, but Bella coldly dodged him.
“No need… I can handle it myself.
” “How are you going to deal with it? Your arm is dislocated!” “That’s none of your business!” Bella snapped, her anger flaring.
She glared at them both, clearly not wanting either of them to touch her.
Ryan stood frozen, unsure of what to do.
Justin, too, was taken aback by Bella’s cold fury.
He stared at her, and for the first time, he realized how little he truly knew her.
For the past three years, he had only ever seen her smile, act gently, and try to please him.
Back then, when he was dissatisfied with the arranged marriage, her every effort to make him happy only irked him more.
Later, he had come to feel repulsed by her.
But now, with her standing before him, trembling with anger, he saw something different—a side of her that was fiery, assertive, and far from the meek woman he had known.
And somehow, that made her even more intriguing.
“Justin, stop being so conceited.
” Bella’s breath caught as she spoke, her voice trembling with restrained emotion.
“I’m here to work.
I never thought about humiliating you or slapping you in the face.
I just want to start a new life after you abandoned me.
You ended our marriage without hesitation, so why are you holding me back now? Are you still hung up on me? I don’t think so… You just don’t want me to be happy.
” Justin’s heart sank, his eyes narrowing.
He felt the sting of her words like a physical blow, and for a moment, he was at a loss for words.
Bella smiled bitterly, her eyes red with emotion.
“Do you want me to cry over you? To feel heartbroken over leaving you? I will never feel that way again, Justin.
