Chapter 1066
Billionaire’s Reborn Baby novel Chapter 1081
When Collin came back to the table, Roxanne and Mike were drinking and using sign language. Collin couldn’t understand, but he stood in the distance and watched them for a while.
He knew that Roxanne had a tough life when she was pregnant. Collin was shocked when the incident happened. At that time, her baby wasn’t born.
The skin of his cheeks tautened and his eyes turned red. Roxanne stood up and walked to Collin, “What’s wrong?”
“I’m sorry.” Collin hugged her.
Everyone at the table looked at them.
Local people were not very open, and no one would hug others in public.
Roxanne tried to refuse him, but she couldn’t make it. Collin hugged her tightly, “I’m sorry.”
“Are you drunk?” Roxanne asked.
Collin let go of her and touched her chin. Suddenly, Collin gave her a big kiss.
The village women felt bashful, but they couldn’t help but peep. Some people mumbled and cursed in low voices, but more of them were jealous.
Collin was not gentle that night and Roxanne shouted herself hoarsely. They cuddled up and stayed closer.
It seemed that only in this way could Collin allay his regret.
The group packed their luggage and planned to go back to City Y. Collin had a long conversation with Mike, but Mike was unwilling to go to City Y with them. Mike waved his hand and wanted to refuse.
Collin had no choice but let Roxanne and Livia say goodbye to Mike.
Livia kissed Mike before leaving.
Mike cried and waved his hand. He made sounds as if saying goodbye.
“I will come back to see you. I will look after you when you are old.” Livia said.
Mike shook his head and waved his hand as if saying something.
Livia cried, “He told me not to come back. It’s not a comfortable place and the locals are not friendly. Just leave and never come back.”
Collin rubbed her head.
Roxanne walked to and hugged Mike, “I gave the principal money every month. You can come to his place to have meals.” Roxanne said it in sign language.
Mike wanted to refuse, but Roxanne held his hand. After a long time, he nodded and made sounds. It meant agreement.
After the conversation, Roxanne stood by Livia and stared at the house she had lived in for nearly ten years. Then she turned around and left with Collin.
The principal brought a group of children to send them off at the intersection. Livia kept waving her hand and drawing in her head until the car drove them out of the mountain and no one was in her sight.
Livia kept mom’s words in mind, “When someone stays in a place for a long time, he or she has been accustomed to it and tends to rely on it. So, when you leave your comfort zone and enter an unfamiliar area, you will reject and fear. But after a while, you can adapt to it, because pursuing comfort is out of human instinct.”
“I have many friends in City Y. Their children are almost the same age as you. You will be good friends. Don’t worry.” Collin smiled and touched her head.
Livia nodded.
