After finishing her test, Emily walked out. Jenny walked over and knocked on Emily’s elbow. Before Emily said something, Jenny stuffed a note into her hand.

Emily entered the bathroom and opened the note.

The note said, “The two who cheated on the exam will wait for you on your way home.”

Emily thought that it was two boys who cheated on the exam. But it turned out to be two girls.

And the two boys once yelled at Tatiana on the basketball court.

Emily was Tatiana’s friend. So the two girls would not let Emily get away easily. The two girls stood at the school gate, staring at Emily as if they wanted to devour her alive.

What confused Emily most was a group of boys from class S in front of the two girls. Those boys once fought with the boys from class F and they were also staring at Emily angrily.

Marisa put her hand on Emily’s shoulder and said in a low voice, “I will walk you home. If they follow up, I will shout for help. They dare not punch people in public.”

Lucy looked at those boys in fear. She murmured, “Emily, should we tell the teacher about this?”

Emily looked back at the two girls and then shifted her gaze at the boys. She shrugged and said, “No need. Let’s go.”

“Emily…” Lucy hesitated, scared, and said, “Why are you walking to the alley?”

Emily had turned around, waiting for the group of people to follow up. She said casually, “The fight will begin in the alley.”

Lucy didn’t know what to say.

Marisa was worried about Emily.

The two girls had already walked over with their eyes red.

“You ugly monster! It’s you. I wouldn’t have made such a fool without you!!” one of the girls said as she pointed at Emily.

“Yes! It’s all because of you!” another girl also walked over and pointed at Emily furiously, “Ugly monster, you fooled us, so we are not done with this.”

“Yes! We will not let you leave easily,” another girl said.

The two girls turned to glare at Lucy and Marisa and snapped, “It’s none of your business. You two can leave now!”

“We will stay!” Lucy kept her back straight, though she was scared. She added, “Emily is our friend. We will not leave her alone!”

Marisa didn’t say anything, just looking at the group of boys behind the two girls warily.

Marisa knew that the two girls were no match for Emily. But the group of boys was too much for Emily to handle. But Emily seemed unwilling to tell the teacher about this, let alone call the police.

Marisa didn’t know what Emily was thinking about. She chose to wait and see what would happen. And she believed that Emily would not lose.

Emily was staring at the boys. After those boys walked over, Emily looked up and asked, “Are you here to take revenge on me for your classmates?”

Boy B said, “By the way, don’t say ‘ugly’ again. You are not pretty, so why do you criticize others’ appearance?”

Boy C added, “We never called you an ugly monster.”

“Don’t mess up with Emily. We can let you go today. But if you do this again, I will tell the teacher to punish you two.”

Boy D said, “Right. You might be driven out of the school. Aren’t you afraid?”

These boys had said what they wanted to say. The two girls felt so aggrieved that they cried. They glared at Emily and they ran away with tears.

Emily didn’t know what to say.

She looked at the group of boys and asked in confusion, “What are you doing?”

These boys scratched their heads and said, “We just want to help you. The two girls wanted to bully you.”

Emily was rendered speechless again.

Marisa nudged Emily’s arm and said with a smile, “I thought that you just knew David. But it seems that the whole class S supports you.”

Emily smiled wryly.
